We took a trip to Norway in June 2002 to tour the country with our good Norwegian friends (of 45 years). So we had some “expert” tour guides. As part of our trip planning, we jointly developed a day-by-day itinerary document for the trip. That document, updated with actual pictures from the trip, formed the basis for these web pages. We covered a great deal of the Norwegian West & Northern coast, both by car, ferry boat and Coastal Express (cruise ship). We drove back from far northern Norway (Kirkenes) thru Finland and Sweden, visiting Stockholm for three days and then back to Asker (suburb of Oslo) before returning to Boston…. The trip cover over 5000 km by car and 1000 km by ferry and Coastal Express ship.

General Norwegian sightseeing Info… http://www.norway.com/ http://www.norway.org/ Current Norwegian Weather...
Technical Notes: This web site was originally developed using MicroSoft FrontPage. Subsequently, it was “imported” into NetObjects Fusion 7.5/8.0 which is a web site development tool. The Norway web pages are constructed of approximately 200 pictures (.jpg's), each about 30-50 Kb in size. The smaller file size allow the pictures to download faster over telephone modems. It was a compromise between picture quality and file size. In addition, each day of the trip itinerary is a separate web page (again making it download faster). I recently developed a technique for linking the “PicasaWeb Albums” web site to my web pages. This technique allows me to display higher resolution photos in a “Slideshow/Album” format easily. Therefore, I reviewed the 1100+ digital photos I took during or trip and selected some 400 photos to display in five separate “Photo Albums”...
