*** Dombas to Trondheim  E6        194 km

#### Trondheim was the capital for the Viking Kings. The city was founded by Olav Tryggvason in 997, and is Norway’s third largest city today, as well as the oldest. The city is characterised today by narrow medieval alleys and modern streets that are combined in perfect harmony. Construction of Nidaros Cathedral began in 1070. It was built as a monument over Olav the Holy’s grave, and it has weathered many trials, including fire and storms, but that today stands as Scandinavia’s largest medieval building.
