June 26, 27 (Wednesday, Thursday) in Stockholm sightseeing...
Return to Trip Itinerary...

2 days in Stockholm; Vasa varvet (300 year old war ship, “a must”), old city, archipelago...
Regardless of your age, interests, or the time of year, Stockholm is loaded with interesting sights and activities. If the
Vasa Ship Museum doesn't pique your interest, then perhaps the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace, or the Gröna Lunds Tivoli amusement park will. Even window shopping for beautifully designed Swedish crafts can be an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. And after dark, Stockholm becomes one of the livelier cities in the north of Europe.

We spent one day visiting the Vasa Ship museum (very impressive)

       and
Skansen museum...below...

We took a "under-the-bridges" sightseeing boat tour (under 15 bridges and thru two locks).  We then spent some time in the National Museum.

Walking, shopping and eating in Gamla Stan (old city) was quite an experience too...

We stayed in a castle (well, the Annex to a castle - Hasselby Slott) while in Stockholm...
